Philadelphia. An interesting night with brand-new people. Walking the streets for a bit while we waited to meet our reservation at the little Italian place we found online. When we got there the owner, in a heavy Italian accent made us go sit at the bar (in an old Italian guy kind of way) while he got some tables pushed together for us to eat at. I was the only one who drank at the bar. A decent-tasting whiskey sour. A bit too frothy and not enough whiskey but still passable. Once we got to the table, I ordered a glass of Chianti. It was incredible and went perfect with the stuffed artichokes we started with and then also with my spaghetti with Pomodoro sauce I had as my entée. I have never had a red sauce taste so good before in my life. Lindsey ordered alfredo and it was even better than the dinner I had. We decided to go bowling next but when we got to the alley, we found out they were closed for a private party. Luckily, there was a bar right next door that we went to. I only had two pints while we were there; I would have preferred double that but the prices were reasonable and it was a nice place so I can’t complain. I am still not sure about my opinion of Philadelphia. I do know it’s dirty, very dirty. I do not think I will make plans to go back anytime in the near future.
