Looking through my photographs, I realize that I am drawn to create incredibly quiet photographs. Some might say “lonely” and that may be the case; at least with some of them. Many of my photographs are calm, soft, and quiet and there is an absence of Man throughout or rather, an absence of human beings. Many contain examples of Man’s leavings. The things that we leave behind as we move through our loves that are full of hustle and bustle. I think that I am drawn to create images like this because I am longing for peace and quiet in my life. I am drawn to places without people or at the very least, to creating photographs without people in them to calm my mind. Viewing my photographs is a way for me to relax but also to remember. I do not know how accurate these memories are to be honest, but they are nice to have.
