This is my cat Jett (or Bubba as my mother likes to call him.) He has been through a lot in the few years we’ve had him. He’s inbred, he got hit by a car, he’s had his head accidentally slammed in a door, and he messed up his hip jumping off of our porch. He’s a tough one though, just a little ornery. He’s super adorable and I still love him though, even with all of the scars on my hands and feet that he’s given me.
I made this photograph by cross-processing some color slide film in color negative chemistry. had never done it before and I just wanted to see the results. Im pretty happy with them actually and because it wasn’t for anything serious, it wasn’t a big deal. I do really like the halo around him though and how it just drops off into darkness. It’s definitely an eerie photograph but at the same time its’ really cute. I miss him a lot and it doesn’t help that I have this photograph of him hanging above my bed for me to look at every day.
